For the rebuild I turned to my friend Mike Abssy of Schrader's Speed & Style. Mike has built several 500 Cadillac engines for himself and customers and he knows the right combinations of parts for different applications.
This block has a .030 over bore, KB pistons, resized rods, new rod bolts, .010/.010 crank, Cloyes steel timing set, Melling oil pump and a Flashcraft cam. The heads were fitted with all new valves, springs, retainers and keepers and given a fresh valve job. And finally the stock rockers were trashed in favor of a new shaft rocker system.
