After I got the long block all together I painted the engine the same way and with the same paint that I'm using for the car. 2 coats of DP74LF followed by 2 coats of Concept DBU color and finally 2 coats of Concept DCU2021 clear.
I topped the engine off with the Edelbrock manifold that I bought for it a few years ago, a new 800 CFM Quadrajet, a Moon "cake lid" air cleaner and a set of 331 Cadillac valve covers adapted to the later engine with adapters from Schrader's Speed & Style .
